there seems to be a new scam going on whereby sellers price up coins well over their normal price looking for a sucker .wonder if they ever sell them.
they can be double or triple their normal price ..

Nothing wrong with pricing stuff up at well over its sensible price. If a buyer pays that price that's between him and the seller.

I once bought a vintage guitar for a thousand pounds, afterwards, I wondered if I had paid too much, so I went on an american forum for owners of the same guitar and asked for their opinion....I had one answer that said it all from a guy in Mississippi......
There is no right price, you pay whatever the guitar means to you......I think the same can be said for anything, including coins !

a dealer i know found some early aussie coins in a junk shop in mint condition and says he got 2500 pounds each for them .normally they would be less than a 100 aussie dollars .they cost him pennys from the charity shop..

Its the same old, something is worth what people will pay. You can start high and work backwards, the purchaser will settle at an agreed price or go away empty handed.

We all pay a little over the odds on things, but the mind rests easier knowing that you own it until the next desireable purchase seed is planted in your mind!!!! Grin
