Reminder..

Not sure if I mentioned in the previous thread about this probe but my probe had problems when I bought it, so sent it back and had a new one which was exactly the same. So, returned the second. Not paying £85 for a unit that's virtually unusable. The latest one they sent works great.   (Regtons were more than helpful - hats off to them)

Wow, the proof was there for all to see, the Minelab was out performed in most areas, Im just glad I bought the Garrett, lets hope the Minelab is faulty, because in this excellent video it showed up very poorly... ,

You will probably find that the soil was too dry/wet for the minelab probe and the soil temperature was not ideal for a comparative test,  Roll Eyes and someone had a metal detector turned on 100 yards away, and there were cars parked in a nearby car park, not to mention the ozone layer was a bit thin. But it's a minelab, so it must be good!  Grin

Look into my eyes Mike, your eyes are feeling tired, so very tired, now think of a nice ice cold beer, and how nice it  would be to own your own Minelab probe, think of all those women who will fall at your feet, if you owned such a device. ...... tell them about that extra cm you can go!...that will be £120 please, it's as easy as that.  I wonder if Minelab would have me on their sales team.

With the Garett probe you are best using a GOOD alkaline battery, and not screwing the battery top too tight!

I've got two and the slight problems I've had have been using a cheapo battery and needing to release the pressure on the battery by easing off the top as it's sounded off with it too tight.

I've had a few probes over the years and they've all broken except for the Garrett.

I'd urge anyone to only buy a Garrett.

Not surprised as a Minelab man since the middle 1980`s Iam very disappointed with their latest products from Codan.

To makes things even worse their products these days are over priced.

Well that's my personal opinion.  Angry  Jerry.
