howdoo dirt burglers,i met up with ysbytymike yesterday to do a deal with him for a 15''x12'' sef coil for my recently acquired sovereign elite.what a nice guy.
anyway first time out i have been blown away by the depth on these coils on a sovereign, hit gold within 3 holes at a depth of 10'' ,nearly blew my ears off loland a silver earing at 18'',gets 5p at over a foot Shocked.
the ring is 9ct and 7gms ,weehee who needs a job anyway lol

if any newbies are considering hitting the beaches i can thoroughly recomend the s.e.f coils.i have a 15''x12'' on my etrac which i have done really well with ( check my posts). cheff geoff our very own detecting guru sells them so give him a pm.
happy days weeeeeeeeeheeeee more gold more gold more gold

Well done Mike, that is a great set-up of coil and machine and the same as I used to use. People will say that the Etrac and Explorer is great on the beach but I don't know how it does it, but the Sov leaves them it its wake.
I look forward on seeing some older finds coming up when the October storms start hitting the beaches Wink

its obviously heavier than the tornado coil it came with but i have fibre glassed the main control box to the rest underneath the arm rest and it deems pretty balanced out.
i'm used to swinging the 15'' sef, been doin it for 18 months now with the etrac but i do use a harness with that Wink
