Eyes only find

Found this today, looks to be be maybe black glass or jet, its 28x15mm and weighs 2.2g.
the hole through the tang had some wire through it, anyone got any ideas?

A quick test for jet, very gently scratch a piece of fine wet and dry paper , if it leaves a chocolate brown line its jet. if it doesnt its glass.
It could be a earing or pendant drop.
Very nice though
