I wondered what rallies you are doing this year, I'm off to the Weekend Wanderers bash on September 22-23 and I have  Just sent my money  off for the Cotswold Rally being held on the 8-9th September on 300 acres of undetected land  near Cirencester along the Fosse Way.
Seeing as I do 6000 acres of the land around there, I couldn’t resist it. They are not saying where the exact site is at the moment, but it should turn up a bit of Roman if your lucky.

And maybe a bit of scrap gold!

Don’t know if anyone is attending the Cotswold Rally on the 8-9th Sept. But I have just checked the details and it is being held in  the village of  Chedworth, near to  Chedworth Roman villa. I have detected in the field next to where the rally is to be held, and found quite a few Roman coins. So it might be a good rally to attend if the fields next door are anything to go by. It was a few years ago I was there, and I lost permission because the owner had an accident with a shotgun, well not quite an accident. Roll Eyes
