Well done BBeef, you have done what all detectorists would love to do - used our marvellous hobby to help Joe Public replace something money just could not buy!!!!  Even a replacement would just not be the same to the lady.  Good job and fancy not even having to get in the car!  I love a good story like this  and makes me feel all Mills & Boonish

well done beef. reminds me of the time i looked for a ring that a lady said was lost in her garden. to cut a long story short we detected for 2 hrs and could not find it. 2 days later she phoned me to say she found it in her freezer.
