Not easy Dave but detecting goes on. Forget Llandod as it has been hammered but you might get some joy up Builth Road or over Newbridge as I am not aware of any detecting over there. Good luck with your search.

thanks for that its a start,vthe hard bit is knowing where to look, and reading the signs if theres such a thing? its veryhard when your starting a new hobby on your own, you tend to find the pit falls first,

any given field no one really knows what might be beneath the top turf. Find a local farm and ask for permission, be polite. Alot of the time the roman settlement areas have been detected to death !

Surprising results can come off random fields, the thrill of the hobby  Grin
