I have never found one either but think they are fascinating. I believe they excavated a few at Caerleon roman baths. It is always worth opening every folded bits of lead as you never know what you will find inside. If you haven't already read it I would recommend the article by Brian Read in the Searcher April 2012 titled 'It May Not Be What It Appears To Be!'

I have unrolled the 2nd (better) piece of lead, I can't see any inscription, but there are definite markings, any ideas?
