Hi all out again with sandpiper to the same field  where i found my first roman brooch last week ,it was cooler today but the grass was slightly longer and the ground was hard Huh,we started swinging in separate direction when i had a  iffy signal i decided to dig it ,10" to 12" down the dry stoney soil was this little figurine Shocked, what is it a sphinx or piper thinks its deities, roman goddess, what a fantastic find Grin the rest of day piper found viccy pennies, half and some leads,

Aww man !!!! Now that is a stunning artefact - I would take that over a handfull of Denari any day.

Quality find - well done - great photos as well.

If its not Roman or even Celtic - I'll eat my leather hat!

Great post
