After Chatting with Casa Dos and getting the go ahead from Geoff Admin, We have come up with an idea befitting Phils memory.

As from the next Rally (The farmer Phil Rally) We will have a Find of the Rally Competition. This will run until the last rally of the year.

Points will be given for best coin  1st , 2nd, 3rd   (3pts 2pts 1pt) and the same for artifacts.  We will poll the winners (unless anyone has a better idea) and Enter the Participants and points into a league type table. Winner at the end of the year will win the shield and have their name engraved on it. They will keep trhe sheild until the next winner ( 1 yr later.)

This will only work if people participate. its not showing off, its just a bit of fun and a nice gesture to a cracking bloke.

Great idea. I hope it is given the support it deserves as Phil was a proper detectorist through and through.
