Author Topic: Talacre last Sunday, 8th September  (Read 4236 times)

Spent last Sunday detecting Talacre with Richie Sixpence and my trusty EuroAce. As usual, for Talacre, we turned up plenty of scrap and WWII ordnance and pieces of copper shrapnel from spent 50 cal projectiles. On the better side, I managed £1.17p in decimal coinage, a throw away lighter, one copper boat nail, and an old damaged ring.

As for the ring; I think it is just a piece of damaged modern tat but a little unusual.

Unusual find on the beach this pistol crossbow bolt. Also had £1.20 spendable cash and usual shrapnel and scrap

Thanks for the id; Richie said that he thought it was a fuse, but I was surprised to find it on the high tide line.
