check if its a crown beach, and that you have your crown estate permit [free] on the crown estate website.

Hi Sinky

The answer is YES.   no problem.  The only problem down there is parking, it's a Pig of a place.
Best of luck.

Yea, well, I wouldn't bank on finding much. Last time I went it was like the Sahara Desert and just as deep. Angry

Can't help but comment on your reply Mike. I wonder if whoever told you 40+ rings were found at Tenby was the same fella that found £122 at Wisemans Bridge in one day. Roll Eyes

How many pinches of salt does that need. I've spoken to one or two regular detectorists who go round this bit of coast and they've all been moaning about lack of finds.

Still it's a nice place to relax if you can find somewhere to park and can afford it. Coppitt Hall are now charging £5 for a car and £7 for a camper. Someone earning a bob or two out of  the visitors.

I`d take everything I'm told about beach tecting with a pinch of salt,i regularly bump into a bloke on Barry
beach (who seems to spend his life on there)

He dosent realize that everytime i speak to him it was yesterday he found this and that (usually rings)
but its never on the days I'm there.

Actually think ill pop down now and here about yesterdays rings Smiley

Sounds like I might stand corrected. I don't know what the official count was but I know the Fella who found them.
Nice guy, couldn't be better deserved.
Wonder if he found a 'glory hole'  A few of us have been wondering where all the goodies had gone. Seems like he found them. Hope he left a few behind.
