out today with the staterchaser..ianjohn and special guest searcher ( rod )to try a new farm out up oxfordshire way. arrived at the farm just after 8AM this morning.after a quick chat to the land owner we were ready to try field number one.well what a start rod had he.d only just ground balanced his machine took a couple of steps and found his first roman of the day in the form of a radiot.wwooww what a good start to a new farm.myself and staterchaser were very busy finding bullets by the handfull for the next half hour then i heard rod say that ianjohn as finally found his first roman coin.which looks to me like a constantine.welldone on the first roman ian, great find.10 mins later he.d found his second roman a well pleased ianjohn.this time it was a radiot.after about another hour in the first field staterchaser went into field two followed by myself and rod about 15 mins in field two rod called me over and there in his hand he.d found a beauty of a silver denari fair-play.I.D.would be great please.
it was,nt long after that staterchaser joined in with the coins pulling out a silver bullhead six-punce and before he new it out popped a george IV shilling also in great condition.welldone ceri.myself im not having the best of days just banging out the bullets.and just before the end of the day i managed another silver denarius.
another great day out with great company..cheers boys.

Great result Ray, well done to all of you. Good photos too, looks like you'll be trekking back to Oxfordshire a few more times now judging by the size of that field. Wink
