Ok..Mark and I have been out for a few sessions this week digging the ancient soil in search of the ‘peoples heritage’ Wink Wink. There seemed to have been a theme, namely pairs. We found two William III shillings, two Mary groats and two long cross hammered pennies; we were well stoked Shocked! The most bitter/sweet find was a half groat of Mary which was cut in half, and then a bit snapped of that... gutted Sad ! All of this was from the same field as well as the usual pile of Georgian and Victorian copper coins and other assorted bits. The Edward VII florin came from another site, only the second I have found with Britannia standing.  Enjoy.  Cool

Nice one Staple Head - a great result.

Catch up soon mate, for a few beers and a detecting session.
