Its  a funny old game, isn't it! This morning i set off with techony and diggerdave to pastures new and apart from techony's exquisite find [which i'm sure he will post up later], the rest was not up to much. [1st pic below].

So we adjourned to our more productive field and decided to tackle an area that we hadn't done up to now. Not a lot of hope was to be had as the farmer had told us stories of what the area had been used for in the past. However, apart from the musket balls and georgian coinage, 3 beautiful silvers came up.  [2nd/3rd and 4th piccy]

the 5th piccy shows my finds for the day, including digger daves spanner!  and the last one has whetted the appetite for further work, after we tackled another field yesterday!

enjoy!

Nice work all, I think we can safely say them Italian bullies were there. Now you've found the field where they threw their empties, you just have to find the one they lived in Wink

Well done on today's hat trick Alan  Shocked

As for the paddock, there was loads of smelt. I'm guessing its from bonfires as this cute little ring has suffered a fair bit of fire damage if you ask me.

Silver, Modern, but cute...

I like the way you have put an 'in the ground' photo next to two cleaned up photos; well done with the finds.
