Well, I've been looking for a decent bag for the Deus for quite some time. I saw the suggestion of a rifle bag, spotted these on ebay, but I like to see the item in the flesh as it were so I know what I'm getting, so last time I was in B&Q I had a nose at what it would fit in and bought this one :

Its a "soft" bag, but the long sides are rigid and so is the base and the top itself sort of hinges open, so its pretty damn rigid, I probably wouldnt put anything very heavy on the top, but thats not a problem. Its got loads of pockets inside & out (picture doesnt show all) and if you know someone over 60 it's 10% discounted on a Wednesday  so only £31 ish...   Wink  Grin

A bit of bubblewrap to line it and maybe some foam blocks when I come across some and jobs a good un Smiley

If I were flying abroad they had a "fatmax" toolbox that it just fitted in, but this had no pockets etc., so I'll only be buying one if I take it on hols...

If you are taking it abroad, via aircraft, my advice is to put the coil, headphones, manual and control unit in your hand luggage. No need to inform airport staff.......it'll go through no problems.

Put the shaft in your suitcase along with sandscoop.

The only time I ever get stopped is taking a 'normal' detector with coil wire and headphones.  Shocked

I just take the Deus now and avoid getting stopped and detained to explain!   Smiley

Hi,

I've bought a perfect bag for the Deus....  from Hong Kong If you have a look on Rogers Relics under "Deus" there is a photo and description.  One thing since writing that post.  If you got the old Deus with the Magnet it will fit with the Egg crate padding.  However if you have the latest, with the push on clip, they have increased the size of the arm rest.  So remove the egg crate padding
(Its only loose, not stuck) and it will fit nicely. I think its better without the padding.  Its still protected well without it.  If anyone is interested and wants to see it. I will be at the Pontipridd rally with it.
