Is it faulty?
Ive had mine about 2 weeks and I'm over the moon with it.
I'm no expert with the explorer but I've been over a certain pasture field with that and an ace 250
no end of times,on my first outing with the Deus on basic 2 i found plenty.

I'm not trying to justify my purchase ,it,s true

once you find the right settings that you are comfortable with, Deus is great too on pasture.

Well it’s not really a beach machine; you have an E-Trac for that

For beach and pasture I would use your E-Trac

The Deus loves iron  Huh once you get your head round this machine you will not find any iron

I would only use your Deus for ploughed and short stubble,i will post a programe up later tonight for you to try

I mate look forward to hearing from you any help will be well appreciated

The program Relic has suggested is very good. The only thing I would suggest is recovery speed on 1 if the ground is not too iron laden. That will give you a bit more depth.

It's like any machine, you need to spend time with it and learn it.

With the discrim on 6 (tone 3) you should be avoiding virtually all small iron. If you are digging it you haven't learned the Deus speak!  Smiley
