Small silver at 9"?  I don't think so....well it depends what you call small I guess. But I know one thing it won't disc out much iron. Watch the youtube demo by the Norfolk wolf.

Surprisingly it seems to work better than the F5. Also found a gold ring in the garden I lost in 85. Can't knock it at the mo!

Did you not buy that Sovereign XS-2a Pro?, going by your other thread you mentioned you was looking a lot more expensive detectors than the Viking you say you have bought.

Although I take it that this is a NEW machine?, not used that you say you purchased, so I guess it would have some kind of warranty.

OUCH, that hurt like a kick in the bollo.....

In all honesty I know Minelab's are a bit odd with the noise and all but it's something I'll have to learn and put up with as I won't have any spare cash to buy anything else..

While people are still reading this silly thread what would you guys pay for a clean example, not box but coming with a battery pack (1600 mah), pack for the AA's, charger and manual?
