I know it's probably relatively modern, but I am just intrigued as to what it is, the Mrs thinks it might be something to do with a barrel tap???

Copper alloy, 30mm tall, 25mm diameter, it's filled with cork.

Any ideas? Smiley

Could be a walking stick ferrel, (with end of broken stick inside) by the engraving possibly 18-19th century
