i got a 50 cal mortar tailfin from my mams garden.how did that get there?
 a guy 3 doors up from me found a load of cannon balls in his garden whilst digging it over 20 years ago.wierd whats in the funniest places  Smiley

I found a Charles 1st farthing and a cast bronze figure of a man in armour on a horse that looks like Charles 1st  Wink
later this week I'm digging out a 15x15 foot area and I'm dying to get the detector on it again. Grin

What gets me is the statement that they will have to see if the guy gets any compensation!!! Surely he is entitled to whatever they are worth?
