Found my first hoard today. I was out detecting  with Soft top and Flash and on my way back to the car I got a good signal. I dug it and found 8 bronze age axe heads together.

A good signal, I bet it nearly blew your head off. Shocked  How deep were they, you didn't say.

One of them would make my day.  Great find.

Well, I was always told that the jokes had to be before mid-day. After that the Joker was the fool. Roll Eyes

Believe me. ITS NO JOKE.
I found them between 17 to 20 inches deep. All packed together and only gave a small signal. When I first got the signal I thought it would be a coin but then as I dug deeper and deeper the signal got bigger.

The palstave axe head ( top left in the photo ) could be at least 500 years older than the others - very strange.
Mark Lodwick would be interested in recording these.
