I met him twice on Celtic Searchers rallies.
Really nice bloke to talk to and his dog maggot was always with him.
He loved his detecting although he said every rally was getting harder to do get to but he liked the company and the atmosphere at their rallies

Very sad news. I met Richard on quite a few rallies and we always stopped for an extended chat. A great bloke and will be sorely missed.

Awfully sad news - my deepest condolences to his family.
