Ahh OK, I remember you saying you may sell it a while back but can't remember the reason but from what I have read the 9" seems to get the depth anyway. I've not read of anyone claiming more finds with the larger coil. Huh

Cheffy, you're dreaming again! I have never said anything to anyone about selling my Deus as I don't intend too!  Grin

I did mention  on here that if I had the Bliss, would I go out and buy the Deus? I would but only if I could get a second hand one for about £800.

Failing that it'd be a new Teknetics Omega 8000 with T2 coil.  Smiley

I wondered why I'd had a couple of queries about selling the Deus...........now I know!

Here we go, I knew I wasn't imagining it
Quote from: rjm
I waited about 5 months for my large coil and sold it after only 2 outings. I may have kept it but was offered a lot more than I paid for it so took the profit.

In my limited use I found the coil to be heavy after about 2 hours use. It covered the ground but when you got a signal obviously it
took a bit longer to find it as the coil is twice the size as the standard.

I can't say I found it any deeper than the standard coil but no doubt it is. It was still sensitive to small and thin.

Overall I was just happier with the small coil. With the large it was just going back to normal detector weight!

I agree with Deusbloke in that I would have preferred a round 11" coil.

Simply put, there is nothing wrong with the standard coil for me and if it ain't broke don't fix it !

Yes, but you saw me with the large coil at the last rally when you gave me the headphones!

I sold my original large coil as I was offered £150 more than I paid, but promptly put my name down and bought another!!!!

You were obviously hanging on to my every word rather than looking at what I had in my hands !  Grin
