::)personnaly i go with detecknicks but the end of the day as long they fix their mistake that is more important .

Does not make any diffrence buying from detecknicks the warentee is covered by Regtons

I bought mine from detecknicks, and have always sent it back to regtons if i had any problems

Same here. I bought mine from Evergreen but always deal with Regton.

You either send it back 1st class recorded Sat morning and should get a new one Tuesday, or post back on Monday after using it on Sat and hopefully get a replacement on Wed.

Well I bought the Deus a few months ago after seeing its performance on fresh plough. Up till now havent had much time to detect due to work .

On the odd occasion i snatched to have an hour or two over the months i wasnt too sure what I had purchased for a lot of money. Finally found some settings taken off another forum and had my first complete day out.

yesterday went out in Trellech, well very very impressed with the depth i was pulling targets from. With the right settings for pasture its awesome. I did have my se pro with me, but after an iniutial change found it heavy on the arm and reverted back to Deus.

Its all down to finding a programme your re comfortable with and practice. Grin

Well done, Dave.

As with any machine it all comes down to practice!  The light weight of the Deus is
a bonus.

I think after 2 years (or is it 3?) the Deus has at last won over quite a few "dyed in the wool" Minelab users. I think they have taken to the weight aspect and recovery speed the most, with the realisation that while the Minelabs are probably deeper the finds rate isn't dropping off due to the faster coverage and as some have said if they do find a hot spot, after cleaning up with the Deus they can then use the Minelab "slow and low" just to see if there is anything that the XP has missed.
From a user point of view it's a shame that the price is so high and this is partly due to the wireless aspect. This is in itself nothing new or ground breaking, only in the sense of it being employed on a detector.
I find it more of a gimmick to inflate the price (but I would say that, wouldn't I Cheesy) and keep you tied in to XP after market accessories
As far as I can tell the jury is still out! on the larger coil and whether it gives a corresponding depth increase.

Hi all
I decided to take the Deus out today anyway. and after swinging it all day the crack that we all thought it was seems to have moved so now I really think it must be a black eyelash or hair look at photo now different place now,
bit of a relief really didnt want to send it back. will have to ring regtons and show new photo of it moved

I think you should send it for DNA testing to see if it's a French eyelash!   Grin

Nigel from Regtons emailed me today saying that they would pick up the control box at my convenience and remove the offending hair.
very good service
very happy with the outcome

I would imagine rjm bob is the man to make a comment on that issue, however the larger coil beit that although i have it and not used as yet, would in my opinion like the wot coil to the se, cover more ground. Not sure howmuch weight increase there is though with Deus. Huh Grin

Ahh OK, I remember you saying you may sell it a while back but can't remember the reason but from what I have read the 9" seems to get the depth anyway. I've not read of anyone claiming more finds with the larger coil. Huh
