Great machine ,a pleasure to use ,make sure to dig weak -2 -4 and even -6 signals ,check them in prospect mode and if its faint dig it!
Use a HF coil in any iron laden site ,ALWAYS use allmetal mode and a slowish sweep ,if you get a iffy signal check it on prospect mode and if its weak ALWAYS dig it ,forget the numbers and make your decision to dig  based on how faint it sounds in prospect mode ,this is absolutely vital to get the small finds like hammered ,if you don't dig negative numbers your find rate on  small hammered  will be poor.

   Sensitivity    28-30
   tones            2
   mode           Allmetal
   threshold       3-5
Tracking       OFF ,do a auto GB fairly often
   volume          max

This is one from the Searcher magazine and deals with the X70 which is basically the same machine. The 705 has short-cut buttons but same depth same set up.
