Morning Al - would you mind also popping the photo of it in the soil into our "In the Soil" section in the gallery? Its a cracking photo for the "In the soil" junkies to drool over!

ohh Thank you Maxine and Neil lol,  i could have done with your help this morning, iv'e been back there, but nothing today though,
iv'e thought since , i should have marked the spot, then when the harrow had been over it , dug a large hole to see if there were any deeper ones deeper than my machine will go doh,
 no time now he should be seeding it tomorrow now.

Neil  I did post it there last night i think,  iv'e just taken a pic of the other side  showing the single rib when i was up there.

Very nice find AL found a axe head once it was of the flat type no more since hope you ,ve found a hoard good luck  mole

arrr yes Mole, the flat axes are the earlier ones,nice find mate , well done on that,don't it just give you a lift., i haven't found the rest yet, but who knows, one day maybe, he's supposed to be seeding it today, putting it back to grass, but they have gave me a tip off though about another part of the farm.

what a great hoard AL I,v e got a catalogue of bronze age finds mainly weapons somewhere in the house if I manage to get to a RARE  meeting in the near future I,ll bring it along mate mole

I was at the farm on saterday and took the extra pic of the other side of it to add on
 The farmer was telling me that she had to go down the road  to some freinds house for something on friday evening, now they are both archaeologists aged about 40,  so she took the Axehead to show them,  can you believe this,  they said they have only seen 2 before, and they were locked up in a glass case and couldn't even hold them.
 they were realy pleased with seeing and being able to hold  mine, fantastic,  they may look over the field sometime to see if they can see any imported fint,

I think thats why i enjoying attenting Club meetings  (i cant think of any other reason  lol) and go Detecting youd never be able to see and hold some beautiful items anywhere else
I bet it was a real treat for them

Des,  now read agin mate,  it wasn't me but the farmer,

yes Phil ok,  its supposed to be raining tomorrow again. but if it turns out to be dry and he haven't had a chance to seed yet i may have another go with the moisture about,
 if it has i'll see about going to another field some distance away but go across the pasture on the same line,
