Went up to the field where I found the bulla, It's about the fourth time I have been up since and found nothing, did manage to pick up 3 flints which I hope Walt will tell you all about. Two have got very fine nibbling on the edges and the other looks like it may be a part of a leaf arrow head, but it's been in a fire for some reason ? Why is that Walt?

Well I was determined to find something , so went to the only available field in the village and tried along the footpath, started digging for this one find and couldn't find it (think it was on it's edge in hindsight), so filled in the hole and a metre away got a signal, turned up the broken Roman. Aha! Back to the signal I had left, Got it! Totally blank silver shilling but has a small shield countermark indented in it?
Decided to go then and on the way out of the field, lo and behold a barbarous radiate? Can't see much with a magnifying glass but happy to have found them , will post some scans up for Peter!

Well having studied afore mentioned flints I can safely say Steve best guess time I am afraid. From left to right. Piece of grey flint unrecognisable as a object, grey flint worked/ retouched edge broken on both left and right side and finally grey flint again broken so piece one i think may be waste. piece two suggests a broken knife that has been re used as a blade, piece three possible scrapper. Poor quality flint no neatness in the work. I would guess late Bronze Age. Best I could do without seeing it Steve.

Thanks for the comments and the I.d. guys ,It always amazes me how much rubbish you need to clear from the top before the older finds start to appear, both were nice straightforward diggable signals yet I haven't picked them up before!
