well what a day today, i didn't have the grandkids today and my eldest daughter hasn't got here either Huh? so i went into Cardiff for some things, got back dinner time , my daughter was still not here, i'd noticed that my dead farmers field was not being harrowed yet, so i got changed, got my gear together and went up there before its too late.
wow, i'm glad it turned out this way, after half hr of only a couple of georgian grotts the tractor came in to harrow the field, as he came to the corner of the field i made my way to him for a chat, before i got there i noticed the end of a palstave Axehead sticking out from the ground, wowwwwwww. i know what that is i thought to myself, cleared a bit of soil from the and took a pic,.
it would be from the middle bronze age around 1500 B.C
i spent some time up with his mother then showing it to her ect and asking permission to show it to the musem for recording ect, which she granted,
she's well pleased and the tractor driver, she's hanging on to it for a day or so to show the family, but said i can have it back then.
another farmer phoned when i was there and she was telling him about it, who knows, he may want me to search his next lol. being so honest too,

now then, seeing as i can't have the dead farmers boots or jacket or Quad bike ,( his son seems so happy on it going around seeing to the sheep, ) as they have decided not to sell the farm, but to try and keep it going together and train the 15 year old grandson up for it who's shown a big interest in doing it. it made me wonder; as a compensate instead, did he quide me to this axehead and even had it poking out of the ground so i wouldn't miss it lol.  hey, i wonder.

What a cracking find Al - well done sir. You know what they say - where theres one theres more! I dare say that due to its fantastic condition - there may well be a hoard waiting to be found. When they are placed so close togther it stops damage, corrosion, etc. and that looks pretty prestine to me!

Congratulations

Thanks guys, yeah soo chuffed,  I didn't have time to hang around for long after Neil, had to get back to see if my daughter had turned up, she hasn't though.

The tractor driver said its rain tomorrow so he hopes to be seeding it on Sunday i can go back then for another search,
so either tomorrow or Sunday instead of taking the Grandkids swimming i hope to be back there for another search,
