Found this the other day, which I believe to be Norman, but can't think what it was used for.

My thought were probably a finial from the top of a helmet, as the site has produced a number of Norman objects.

An interesting piece Steve but that helmets a Saracen one lol. Maybe more from a Shako type helmet 19thC Huh
