Hi - sorry for starting another thread so soon after the previous one.

I promised I'd ask about this object on behalf of a friend (I wish He'd hurry up and buy a computer  Grin) . It looks like some sort of brooch with a horseshoe in the centre. He found this on his new permission, in addition to these fairly old foreign silver coins - not sure what these were doing there though.
