what average numbers would i be looking for,for roman coins

First of all, some advice from one who knows.........forget the numbers and learn the sounds, the numbers lie the sounds don't or should I say, they are right more often than the numbers.
Secondly there is no such thing as a "average" Roman coin, they come in all sizes and different metal mixes and you should be digging anything from 17- to 1- and any conductivity. But most coins, regardless of age generally come in between ferrous 8 and 14. A Roman radiate can come in at 12-8 and a Sesturtius at 12-48
