Hi, Im new to metal detecting and i am looking for some where to go out detecting around gwent >  has anyone got any ideas??  thanks

Pick up the Phone and Give some farmers a ring. Theres plenty of farms out there just need to be polite and dont worry about a few knock backs. Try Yell  under Farmers category.  Should give you a nice list.

Knock on doors is best, 9.00am ish, and be polite. Pick a farm off the beaten track. Main road farms are targeted all the time and usually have people.  Grin
