At 6am myself and Balaclava found our selves heading to wards our first rally. On rout we stooped at the services were we met
Zeus, Gi Jan, Ysbytymike and Rolling Stone. Whilst having a brief chat GiJan proceeded to show us a small hammered coin, to which me and Balaclava
could only stand in awe as this magnificent find was held out before us. So here is my first thank you for making us feel so welcome (Thank you guys)

After that it was back in the car for the final stage of the journey. We arrived in good time and after a quick overview on the area by Chef Geoff (Thanks Chef it was super informative) we were off. After a few hours scrambling about in the stickiest mud known to mankind i had only managed to find a thimble, so we decided it was time for lunch. It was during this short break where we started to here of some of the finds that had been found. And so with renewed optimism
we headed back out, we did a couple more hours detecting and it was getting close to the end of the day and i still hadn't found any thing to speak of so I decided to move to a different field. It was in this field where i found a small coin which i hope is roman but unfortunately there is nothing recognizable on either side. then a few swings away i found a piece of a broken broach which i think is silver.
So i would like to say a big thank you to the organizers and members of DW for a great day out. (Thank you) :-)
