This Henry V111 Groat popped out of a field in Somerset yesterday (28/01/2012) complete & whole but by the time i`d got it home, carefully in a padded tin, i might add, it immediately shattered once taken out & placed on the desk for photographing. To say i was slightly miffed is an understatement !   Embarrassed
Still a fantastic find & my 1st groat & 1st Henry V111   Wink

well look on the brighter side thats 1 near full hammered and 3 fractions for the price of one............ Oh sorry mate just had too.
It happened to me I have my first eddy penny found on swansea beach went into 11 peices and some are like crumbs.
I think with a bit of patience you could glue it nicely back together and restore its looks.
