  yes ball cock or not ball cock BUT has anyone any thoughts on the REPORT from the museum please anyone throw any light
 i am interested in the original coin and not anything that has been overstamped on it i still cant see the original coin was mid fourth century as it look alot earlier and comments about the COIN and not the BALL COCK will be gratefully received THANKS for your help

Sugar I have posted that I will look, The original coin is still after 270 AD in portraiture style and probably not far from the mid 4th century.

its difficult to see wich is original and wich is the overstruck,lettering wise would it be poss too illuminate original  markings with red highlighter

 i really hope jamie can do this for you as personally i cant quite see them so i am in the same situation as you but it would be great to get bigger photos and as you say markings where the overstruck coin is
 all i see is two heads defo need some better glasses

OK well firstly the best method to id Roman coins from the 4th century is by the reverse, unfortunately we don't have that luxury. So we are left with just part of the bust which, though I'cant be sure by any means, does have the softness of style from the reigns of either Constans or Constantius II. The over strike is a mystery, as the second impression has mixed with some of the original to give a completely unique look.
