hello all
went out on the beach today and found this..

it gave a very good signal on my ace 250 in the silver range.
how could i tell if its silver, it also looks like it could be a knife handle.
cheers..

hard to say what that is , but you can get a chemical kit to see what type of metal it is ,but im sure someone on here can give you a tip on how to tell if its silver

wrap it in a bit of kitchen tin foil and make sure the tin foil is damp if it is silver it will start becoming warm and will start smelling like rotten eggs
note if you do this with silver coins do not do a rubbing motion on your find as it can be a little abrasive and put minute scratches on the surface perhaps not visible with the naked eye but if the coin turns out to be rare it will not enhance the value
