Found today at the Longbridge rally i think it may be a Roman or Celtic Buckle 50mm wide x 40mm long.

Very nice object Ian. Would not commit to its period or if it is a buckle or something else like horse harness mount or something else. The bar down the left hand side does show signs of wear. Over to the Doc on this one I think.

Cracking find - reminds me of a Saxon wrist clasp - except they tend to be more rectangular. Wonderful find all the same!

Really nice find Ian dont forget to bring it to RARE,s find of the month let Mark Lodwick have a butchers at it ;0)

Anyone anyone find anything else up there ? ive only heard of one other find Gavin Palmer (Rare) and his Roman brouch, any chance of seeing it Gavin ? if not bring it with you week wednesday !
