The half Crown is I suspect a forgery. Will not clean up at all and my normal attempts at a bit of cleaning appears to wash the silver appearance of the coin to leave a bronze type colour. Pic to follow but in the meantime I like this buckle dated 1250 - 1400 ad.

Ceri you have a Annular Buckle dated 1200 - 1350 AD ( whitehead ). Not a brooch.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

how big is your !annular broach!
i think its about 40-45 mm if so take alook at pic from whitehead
it looks the same
