Hi Guys

Long time no post but i've finally got out with the T2 fir the first time in a year at my sisters place where im staying for Xmas. I've just found a perfect Crotal bell in the shape of a Clam Shell. No Camera for photos though. After Googling Crotal bell images and then looking through 23 pages of Crotal Bells on UKDFD ~I can't see one single Clam shaped bell??. Any idea on where I might find some info on the bell?

Thanks
Junkman

I've traw;ed through 23 pages of crotal bells on there and not a single clam shaped one. I've got a feeling it's 1700s and later but surprised there is not one single image Huh

As you said Junkman long time since we heard from you, welcome back........Hey! your not farther Christmas are you? Grin
That is a beauty, well found. I've never seen one like it before. Are there any makers marks anywhere? If you're doing a search then I think it would be described as "Scallop" rather than "clam". Wink

The funnty thing is it still has its pea and sounds just like a jingle bell - How festive Smiley Smiley Smiley

Even more oddly, I found a small pewter bell as well??. Now that is spooky on Xmas eve finding two bells!!!
