Basic 1 program or G-Maxx is ideal for pasture.

There's no real need to tweak the settings.

Just remember coke will be about 26 on vdi or notch out 25 - 27

Many  thanx for your reply Iwilltry both programmes tomorrow
Usually I lower the freqency to 11.9l
and down to 2 tones
this does appear to do the trick i have noticed that animal tubes and small coke usually appear around the 25i6 markbut i am willing to dig all as i had a small hammerred
liz the first penny on 25
still its a winni8ng machine and the weight is ideal as i,m diabetic and the muscle pain can be severe with the heavier  machine kike the explorer andother machines  that i have used
happy hunting dave the glyn kid

You seem to have got the hang of the Deus.

Gary from Gary,s detecting has done a good review on the Deus and is a big fan
of the Basic 1 program using two tones.

Here's his review if you haven't read it:

I used my Deus for the first time on Sunday, using a tweaked Adam and Lisa program, the coke was coming through at 46!Many Deus users quote it comes through around 25 ish.
My advise is dig all two way signals until you have total confidence to walk away from a signal.
Doug Turner on the Detectorist.co.uk forum doesn't use the Visual Display, it's ears only for him and he finds loads of goodies.
