just gave these a clean up found at the rally yesterday , no idea on what they are could be just scrap any ID  would be great

could be either , no too sure , what about the little un' has a lovely dark green patera and looks to have some age about it

LOL Neil, you beat me too it, I just copied the photo from the rally report for the same reason.
On the subject of Ring money, the current thinking is that their may never have been such a thing in existence, especially in anything other than gold or gold plated.
 The idea of bronze ring money seems to have come about as a result of hoards of rings being discovered, but as one historian has said, when a hoard of axes are found, we don't think of them as axe money or the finding of a buried ton of iron nail at Vindolanda didn't lead to us thinking it they were Roman nail money

Were similar rings not sewn into the hems on dresses from Tudor times on as well. the weight kept the hem down when ladies rode their horses.
