its a 1/2 sovereign and by my scales it still weighs 4 grams but i know that cant be true with the bit chopped off

The missing part will still be in the same area it looks like its been cut with a gang mower you get a lot of coins like that on sports fields i found a half sovereign on an old town football field and i thought it was a sixpence until i got it home and washed it ,well done hope you find more.
