Firstly many thanks to all of the DW crew for yet another fine days detecting. Wink
I was really looking forward to this rally,as it was my first since injuring my leg at the start of the summer.
I was up at 5,kean to get going.Whilst putting my spade in the van I cricked my back, not a good start, but that was not going to stop me,no way Jose! Plenty of painkillers and off I went.I am well known as Mr Unlucky amongst friends when it comes to injuries! Roll Eyes
Pulling up to the farm it was good to see a smiling Pipster ushering in the vehicles(didn't really get to see you in the field and have a chat bud, next time mate  Wink)
After the briefing,it was into the fields. It wasn't long until reports of some nice coins were filtering through.During the morning,I found a couple of coins, completely worn, but nothing that special.
By 1pm,my back was killing me,so I headed back for a bite to eat and some more tablets.I made the mistake of sitting down, when I went to get up again,it took me 5 minutes to be able to walk properly again! I then headed out again.First signal was a DW token, which I found too late for the draw! That made me smile and made me think that today might not be my day! However ten minutes later,a lovely sharp signal and up popped my first Roman, brilliant! Five minutes later, bang, another one.Two more followed later too.I'm delighted with them.If anyone can id them in any way, that'll be good.I will take them to my next club meeting and give them to the FLO to record for me.I spied Neil across the field and made my way over to show him the finds, that camera certainly had some work to do yesterday mate! Thanks again Neil.
Time was getting on now,so I started heading home.Unfortunately the mud had the last laugh and the van was well stuck!Thank you to the fellas who helped push me out,I know Alan and Richard were two off them Wink
All in all a really great day, thanks very much guys and it was good to put some more 'faces to names' and meet some more members. All the best until next time and Happy Christmas to you all Wink
