my finds today in the vale a henry 8th groat posthumous coinage of 1547-51 and a half cut of henry 111 shortcross penny a roman brooch and a very nice scouts ring or togle not sure any info on this would help alot (regards phil)

From what I know of woggles (which isn't much), underneath the "be prepared" there should be some type of insignia or design. Woggles can be made from almost anything but the type that you have found should relate to a particular scout group, unless you can identify the group dating may be difficult. Think the movement was started in 1897? by Baden Powell. When they did camp out I think the last thing the scout leader did was have a quick look around for woggles because they were notorious for slipping off the neckerchiefs.
