Hi Guys

Well i finally bought myself a new detector a minlab x-terra 305 which i had for a bargain price
of E-bay.
After a few outings i have managed to find loads of penny's half penny's and three pences and some silver shillings.
But yesterday was a really good day i found two 18 hundreds shillings and 4 Britannia penny's in the same hole, a brass cask tap, some type of clasp thing and what i suspect is a padlock.
The thing about the1877 shilling is that the queens portrait is upside down when I rotate it. does this give it any value?
I have included a few pictures in my post and would be very great full if somebody can provide me with any information about any of these finds. Grin

nice finds , maybe worth checking around were you found the coins as they all got there at once maybe from a purse so the purse bars could well be there as well ,worth another look , as to the 1877 they are all like that mate

Welcome on board - the barrel tap is a cracker and will clean up lovely. I have a couple and just remove the dirt and add a wax coating to them. I love the idea with their usage in that field workers would be provided with a glass of cider/perry from at  the end of their day. The foreman was the only guy with the key which will lock onto the square/triangle fitting you will find on it. The square bit at the front is to allow it to be hammered home into a cask and the holes on the far end act as a modern springler on a pump nozzle would.

As for your shilling its mormal for the Vicky bun heads (earlier coinage} to have the reverse the opposite way round.

You are making some good finds there - well done
