Just wanted to say howdy.
Been snnoping around as a guest, now and then.
Decided to register though.
Seems like a real pleasant forum.
I`m located in Germany, where the tone is quite different on many a website.
Bunch of know-it-alls, in my opinion.
Metal detecting over here is really quite regulated, with having to buy permits(around 75€/anually) that only allow you to search in certain areas.
Another area = another permit.
In many provinces, they won`t even issue you a permit - period.
Searching in forests and on pastures is forbidden.
So all you basically got left is plowed fields. And only before the seed is in the ground, which really cuts down on potential search time.
Okay, guess you`ll just about had enough of my whining and snivelling Cry

My "finder" - Whites 6000/di pro sl with BlueMax 950 for fiels and BlueMax600 for littered sites. Trusty old unit, once you get the hang of it. Old school with no digital readout.
If work cuts me some slack, I´ld sure like to take a jaunt up to Wales to da some snoopin´around.

Welcome to the forum Skookum and if you ever manage to get over to the UK it would be great to meet you. As Mike has said we have it so easy over here, a fact unfortunately that many here seem to forget at times.
