I bought a detector many years ago and it was called a Groundhawk. This pic shows what it looked like at the top. The pic isn't a good one but at the time I was on my own and borrowed a spade from the farmer to tie the camera to.
.It as ken on sensitivity, so much so that I thought there was something wrong with it and abandoned it eventually. I think it had valves in it.
