After yesterdays Palstave find I was keen to get out in the sun today and dig some more holes. Went to Gloustershire to CHADS rally. Started well, infact all my finds came within the first hour then nothing, weird, talk about peeking too soon! Shocked
First came the Charles the 1st hammered love token, my first one as all the pevious ones I've had have been Williams. Next came the part roman brooch and sixpence. The other pictured find I was told was a Tudor Garter Hanger??? strange looking thing, if someone has had similar or shine more light on it would be appreciated.
Finally probably my oldest find to date, eyes only Shocked a pretty nifty looking fossil probably amonite family.

Interesting finds Ceri. I may be wrong on this one, but the item at lower left looks to me like part of an openwork Saxon strap end, 10th to 11th century.
