It does look very similar to these based on a horse from Greece. Huh

mark, still cant believe you found that !

Even if its not the real deal, its just something fantastic to dig up.  I know the farmer's family are well into horses, could have been one of their daughters, just dont know.

On the other hand if its real - steve, (farmersteve)  wayne and mikeTF will be trying to get you to sell it pronto to get their share of the booty ! lol. Grin

Take care

If it's the real thing, is it likely to be Treasure Huh?

Well the word is out on the street......had conformation off Farmersteve this morning who had it appraised that it is a modern day reproduction...probably worth a few quid on ebay rather than thousands if it was the real deal...Had to keep an open mind and hopes about it but mega dissappointed all the same...a bit of brasso on him to give him a nice shine and up on the mantlepiece it goes as a reminder... Sad

That is a shame! What on earth is a modern replica doing out in the middle of nowhere? Very strange?

I was sure this was a modern copy, but as everyone seemed so excited about it I was hoping I was wrong

How a modern copy got in to the field in the first place is a complete mystery

Maybe one of the farmer's families lost it, or someone planted it for a joke
