out today for first time in 8 weeks!
any idea what the square object is? it has 2 grooves and is quite heavy  Undecided also if anyone has an idea what the other object is?  there is a crease running down the length, possibly lead??

No real idea on the square "thing", although it's reminiscent of a brush from an electric motor. the peice of lead looks to be a broken pencil (yes they were just lead).

Brushes from electric motors are normally very light in weight as there usually carbon.
No idea myself but I think that's the wrong direction.

Looks to me like a part from inside a big door lock. Grooved to slide with a stopped groove to restrict upward movement or drop. Dont think its too old though.
